Importance of Early Intervention

Early intervention refers to a range of services and supports provided to young children (typically under the age of 3) who have developmental delays or disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The goal of early intervention is to help children develop essential skills that might be delayed, including speech, motor skills, social interaction, and adaptive behavior, by addressing these challenges at the earliest possible stage.

This video talks about the importance of early intervention in children with learning disabilities and gives a practical roadmap to approach the concept of early intervention. It talks about concepts of family approach, individualized service plans and continuous feedback to ensure that the intervention continues to be effective.
