The speaker shares insights from the International Society of Autism Research (INSAR) meeting, where autistic adults highlighted hypermobility as a significant issue. Existing studies suggest a higher prevalence of joint hypermobility in autistic individuals, with EDS mothers reporting high rates of autistic children. The discussion also covers connective tissue symptoms, immune dysfunction, and autonomic issues like dysautonomia.
