ROLE OF REFLEX INTEGRATION TECHNIQUES AND RHYTHEMIC MOVEMENTS IN TREATMENT OF AUTISM AND OTHER NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS.

Primitive Reflexes are innate , infant movements ( Neurodevelopmental Movements) essential for building Brain, Body and Sensory Systems. Retained primitive Reflexes are closely linked to Autism and ASD symptoms. They are essential for survival and development in the womb and in the early months of life until they become obsolete when higher functioning brain processes take place.  At this point, they need to be inhibited or the proper neurological organization of the more sophisticated centers of the brain do not develop. If retained, a child may experience dysfunction within one or several of the sensory processing systems which can lead to sensory processing disorder( seen in neurodevelopmental disorders).

This video describes , how without necessary OT and PT Tools, are RHYTHEMIC MOVEMENTS AND REFLEXES INTEGRATION TECHNIQUES ( Primitive and Postural Reflexes) are most effective set of tools for sensory processing and integration.
