This lecture explores aspects of social and emotional development during the prodromal and early syndromal stages of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and examines their connection to later outcomes in children with ASD and their siblings. It also introduces recent advances in fetal and neonatal neuroimaging aimed at uncovering the underlying mechanisms of ASD, providing insights into early identification and intervention strategies.
